Air
Purifier for the Size of a Cleaning Area.
|
 |
|
 |
| Maximum
Cleaning Area. |
|
The
maximum cleaning area for any air purifier with the air filtration system
is the size of the room in sq. ft. with the average height of the ceiling
of 8 feet, in which the unit running on the highest setting (speed) can
provide two complete air changes per hour.
It's enough to make the
difference in the air quality noticeable. However, for best air cleaning
result and a truly high air quality the number of complete air changes
per hour should be 4 and over. So, always pay attention on the number of
air changes per hour when looking at the size of a maximum cleaning area
for the air purifiers.
Do
not forget, any air puirifier (air cleaner) is quite noisy when running
on maximum speed.
It makes it very unlikely
that you run the unit on maximum setting all day long.
The "Medium setting in normally
used for day-time operation, while "Low" is best for a night time. Most
air cleaning devices on Medium setting provide air flow 50 - 60 % of the
High setting.
So, the actual cleaning
area for the unit running on Medium setting will be the same 50 - 60 %
of the maximum one.
The maximum cleaning area goes down as the height of the ceiling goes up.
For example, for the height
of the ceiling of 12 ft. the actual cleaning area will be 75 % of the maximum
area provided in Technical Specification, for the height of the ceiling
of 16 ft. it's going to be 50 %.
